Who I am
Creative direction and copywriting
Lotusphere 2010 (IBM)
or three years I worked on the invitations and collateral for Lotusphere, IBM's annual gathering of Lotus software customers, experts and enthusiasts. Invitations for 2010 had to be based on the IBM Lotus Knows brand advertising campaign, but tailored to an event and in some cases,
a specific industry such as banking.
Lotusphere 2008 (IBM)
n 2008, IBM gave us full creative control to come up with a concept for Lotusphere invitations. We decided to play off the idea of "superfans"-- in this case, geeky Lotus superfans. It was fun, and an opportunity to do something playful outside of IBM's usual businesslike demeanor.
Mashups video series (IBM)
BM wanted us to create a YouTube video to educate about enterprise mashups in a way that was not stuffy and that end users and C-level executives could grasp. We chose an animated Flash format and our art director came up with the awesome stick-figure concept. The video won several awards and spawned three other similar projects.

We Work Smarter Together (IBM)
n the infancy of IBM's Smarter Planet brand campaign, Lotus asked us to help introduce the concept at Lotusphere 2009. We came up with We Work Smarter Together, and hit upon the idea of interviewing customers, IBM employees and business partners during the show and editing together a video for the closing ceremony. We also developed an interactive .pdf brochure. Both projects came together, start to finish, within a week.
Disaster Happens (CDW)
s part of a business solutions Web site for CDW, Ogilvy put together a business continuity microsite called Disaster Happens. They did the animation, I wrote the copy. It was a short project, but remains one of the more fun things I've done in my copywriting career.
